CREATING A MINDFUL BRAND
Basaho are a new brand with the aim of making meditation and yoga accessible for everyone through cushions, mats and bolsters. My challenge from the founder was to create a brand identity to live on the packaging of the new ‘mindfulness cushion’ as well as on the website and Instagram. Everything from tone of voice to colour palette was up for grabs. I teamed up with a designer to restyle the logo, develop a visual identity for our packaging and a set of unique icons and illustrations to show off the benefits of mindfulness. I created copy for the box as well as for two inserts - how to meditate and how to sit on the cushion. Because great meditation practice and good posture go together like two very relaxed peas in a very relaxed pod. It was all about friendly advice to achieve maximum levels of zen - and as a mindfulness fan myself, it was the perfect match. We’re really proud that the cushion is now stocked in Anthropologie as well as Planet Organic and Tri Yoga.
